Robin Hood has been helping families create delicious recipes for many years. I have been using Robin Hood flour for years, and I was recently introduced to their quick oats and some awesome holiday recipes.
History of Robin Hood
It all started in 1909 with 62 employees working at a small mill in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. From these humble beginnings, Robin Hood’s green-and-red archer emblem has become a familiar and highly regarded symbol of consistent quality.
I had some baking projects already lined up, so when my Robin Hood flour and oats arrived, I got right to work. We had been doing some fun Disney preparation, so my first creation was a simple one – some Mickey shaped pancakes. The kids were begging for some cookies, so I made some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that were devoured within a couple of days.
My husband is the real baker in the house, so he created a delicious apple pie. In my opinion, the crust is the most important part of a pie, and his turned out great! My last baking project was some homemade garlic bread, that I was very happy with (it was my first attempt at bread from scratch).
The Robin Hood website has some great holiday recipes that I want to make. The cookie dough truffles look amazing and the white chocolate mini cakes would be perfect to follow a big Christmas dinner. I still have to make all of my Christmas cookies, and I plan to include the classic linzer cookies in my baking.
Don’t they look delicious? I added them to my recipe box, which is one of the great features on the Robin Hood website. I also joined the Robin Hood Baking Hour, where I can get monthly recipes to create with my family and I can access some of their tools, like the baking calendar, the grocery list and the recipe box.
