KINDER introduces Barbie and Hot Wheels surprises #KINDERMom

While I don’t instill gender roles in my children (I’ve bought all of my boys dolls and with four brothers, my daughter is constantly surrounded by cars, soldiers and superhero movies), they seem to be drawn to certain toys that are stereotypically for their own genders.

Avery has been a girly-girl since the day she was born. Despite having no sisters and a mother who prefers black to pink, she has always had a preference for pink frilly things and dolls. She may have even convinced her Mom to wear the occasional pink shirt and a dress now and then. So I knew she would be happy when a big box of KINDER eggs in Barbie packaging arrived at the house. I also knew she would be even happier to see another big box of KINDER eggs in Hot Wheels packaging… because that meant the boys wouldn’t be touching her Barbie eggs!

kinder carsGriffin was thrilled to see the Hot Wheels KINDER eggs. He loves anything with wheels, and while he could care less about the chocolate, he was determined to find himself some hot wheels toys in those eggs. It took him a little longer than he liked, but eventually he started to find them (the packaging says one in three eggs contains a barbie or hot wheels toy, and to a kid that means the third one you open better have that toy!).

They all now have a nice collection of Barbies, Hot Wheels and some other fun KINDER toys. To celebrate the launch of the Barbie and Hot Wheels KINDER surprises, you can have a chance to win one of 40 prize packs on the KINDER facebook page! There’s not a lot of time left, so go enter today!

My son love hot wheels, but when he plays with his girl cousins – they take the cars, and he is playing dress up before you know it! 🙂

Wow, those are better than the toys they had in them when I was young. Did you know people try to smuggle this across the US border? They are that good.

It always makes me sad that they don’t sell Kinder eggs in the US. I love their other chocolates though! 🙂
