I was very excited to be asked to host a Disney Side at Home Celebration. After all, we’re huge Disney fans in my house and as my readers will know, I enjoy writing about Disney on my blog. I had some big ideas for our party and I couldn’t wait to do it. And then I fell on the ice and broke my arm. It was the day after I received my email to be a host, and it put a huge damper on my plans. Although it did give me an opportunity to do give myself a hidden Mickey!

My injury made my big party transform into a smaller more manageable party. We received this awesome kit full of Disney goodies to use for our party.

We had a little trouble coming to a consensus on what we should do for our party. My daughter wanted a Frozen themed party, my son wanted a Disney Infinity party, my youngest wanted a Mickey themed party and while I was leaning towards a Frozen party, I knew that wouldn’t make the boys happy. In the end we decided to make everyone happy and do it all!

The food was mainly Mickey based, although our Mickey pizza resembled a bear more than Mickey. The cupcakes were definitely the biggest hit with everyone.
My daughter shared her Disney Princess dolls and her Frozen castle, as well as some Princess dress up items, and they had fun playing with them.
We finished our day playing Disney Infinity.

We had a great time showing our Disney Side at home, and you can too! Take a look at these sites for inspiration on how you can show your Disney Side at home.
