Have you ever seen a promotion for “new customers only” and wondered why you, a current and long term customer, were not offered the same deal? I think we all have, and companies are starting to realize the importance of valuing their customers. If your company doesn’t offer promotions, specials and appreciation to their current customers, what will keep them around?
It’s great to be appreciated as a loyal customer, and when a company shows their appreciation they are likely to keep me as a customer even when a better deal comes along from a competitor. Telus is a brand that really understands showing appreciation. Take a look at what they did for Ramona.
Ramona’s dream got me wondering what I would do if I could do absolutely anything for one day. I have been very blessed to cross off many items from my bucket list over the last few years, but my family wasn’t always at my side. I think if I could do anything for one day, I would want to do some of those things over again, with my entire family. I would love to take them all up in a hot air balloon, go parasailing and zipline over treetops. New experiences are more fun when you get to do them with people that you love! Telus realized that too, which is yet another reason they excel in customer appreciation.
TELUS isn’t stopping there. The TELUS Care-a-Van team is going to Guelph this week with a host of events and activities that will be taking place all week long to specially thank TELUS local customers in the Guelph community.
- TELUS is literally performing everyday acts of caring all over the Guelph community throughout the week. As part of this, we’re donating $5 to the Guelph Children’s Foundation for every use of #actsofcaring.
- TELUS is going door to door to the homes of their top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package – a small token of our appreciation.
- TELUS is hosting a free BBQ lunch for the top 1000 customers and their families at the local TELUS store. They will be presenting a cheque to the Guelph Children’s Foundation in the amount of $5000 – in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring. Donald Woodley (member of TELUS Board of Directors) will present the cheque.
They are recognizing customers and supporting important local causes. You can see the Telus You Tube video on their account, and subscribe to all of their videos too. If you could do anything for a day, what would it be?
