I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I’m often just working at home or I’m outside doing gardening and yard work, so there is no need to get dolled up at all. Then that day happens. It has happened to all of us, I’m sure. The day where I decided to just run to the department store “as is” to grab a couple of things. I glance in the car mirror on the way there and attempt to fix my hair that is in need of a root touch up and realize that I have circles under my eyes that age me by ten years, but who am I going to see anyway? Everyone. If you leave the house looking like this, you will run into everyone from your high school sweetheart to the girl who won him over. It has happened to me more than once.

Shoppers Drug Mart has the perfect solution to this problem, and any of your makeup woes. Just stop into your local Shoppers between now and September 14th and take advantage of the 5-minute makeover! As part of the 4th Annual 30 Days of Beauty event, Shoppers will share 30 fabulous looks through visuals, instructional “How-To’s” in-store and online, and behind the scenes videos available on youtube.ca. You can also check in at 30daysofbeauty.ca each day where they will reveal a ONE day only offer everyday and “How To’s” on how to achieve the 30- 30 Days of Beauty looks.

30 Days of Beauty is the biggest beauty event of the year and aside from the great tutorials online and the 5-minute makeover in store, you can also fine exciting 1-day only offers and campaign offers on your favourite beauty brands in store. Between August 23rd and 29th, if you spend $75 or more on cosmetics, skin care or fragrances you will receive a cosmetic pouch filled with over 25 beauty and fragrance samples. That would definitely get me everything I need to avoid another embarrassing shopping trip!

30 Days of Beauty is fantastic for people like me who don’t invest a lot of time in cosmetics, because it instructs us exactly how to get the look that we want. I learn better by seeing, so the video tutorials and the 5-minute makeovers in store are really valuable learning tools. Plus I could grab a 5-minute makeover before heading to the department store!

    Thanks for the information. I usually don’t wear any make-up but it would be great to get some help trying to figure out a look that does work for me when I need to.

    I put on my bb cream, eye shadow, blush and lipstick every morning. I have not worked in over 40 years. It’s just part of getting washed and dressed. Take some pride in yourself. A makeover would be fun but I’d likely be expected to make a purchase.

    I love that you can go to SDM for a makeover but I am super sensitive to the smells of all the perfumes. When I walk through the door I hold my breath and cover my mouth with my hand. If I don’t do this I get a cracking headache within minutes. I love that they have online articles that I can follow

    I do love Shopper’s selection of makeup.. I just find them much more expensive then just about any other place I can buy makeup, so I don’t usually purchase it there.. however, when they have deals/sales on it.. their usually pretty good deals, especially buy 1 get 1 free!

    I love going to Shoppers and this is a great event. I love learning tips and tricks when it comes to makeup application. Mini makeovers are fun too. I generally wear foundation, eyeliner, a little eye shadow and coverup daily.

    Oh, believe you me I’ve had those look-like-crap-and-run-into-everyone days. They happen to us all at one point or another! Unfortunately I’m not a big makeup person myself so I’m not really on the up-and-up with beauty so it sounds like this can really help me out 🙂

    I do not believe that taking pride in yourself has anything to do with wearing makeup but it sure is fun to get all made up once in a while. Appreciate all the pro tips from SDM.

    I have never participated in the 30 days of beauty at SDM but they have some great deals. I love wearing lipstick and blush and sometimes I wear eyeshadow. I think the Romantic look that they have on their FB is very very nice.

    I would love to be part of the 30 days of beauty. Like you I have permanent black circles under my eyes. It has something to do with having kids I think :p.
