Family traditions are part of what makes the holidays special. My family has carried on many traditions that I grew up with, like opening one gift on Christmas Eve and eating breakfast before opening gifts. We have also created some traditions of our own, like purchasing one new ornament for the tree each year and decorating the tree together.
We have traditions around our stockings too. Santa has left an orange in my stocking since I was a child and that tradition continues with my children, but he has a few more regular stocking stuffers now too. Each year we find a new toothbrush, a pair of gloves and a Kinder Egg in each of our stockings. There are other things that vary from year to year, but these are the things that we have grown to expect over the years. The kids love to get their Kinder Eggs because it isn’t only a sweet treat, but also a toy!
