Even though my children are getting older and the baby days sometimes feel so long ago, there are parts of that time that I’m sure I will always remember. The joy of bringing home a new baby and watching over them. The excitement of watching that little person learn to reach and grab and play. It was so precious to watch my children learn to interact with the world around them, and I loved introducing them to toys that would help them do just that. I also remember needing a few minutes without the baby in my arms so that I could get some things done, and those same toys were instrumental in making that happen!
The Fisher Price Kick & Play Piano Gym is an excellent example of an interactive toy for infants. It offers four ways to play. When they start out using it they are laying on the mat and playing with the hanging toys and their feet can play music on the piano keys. Turn baby over to his tummy and watch him gain neck strength while he looks at the colourful images on the mat. When baby can sit up on her own she can play with the mirror and activity toys while sitting on the mat, and she can play the piano with her own hands. Finally, the whole thing can be folded up and taken with you when you are taking baby to visit friends or family.
This toy would have met so many of my needs as a Mom of a baby. It helps baby develop strength and skills while giving Mom a little time without the baby in her hands so she can fold the laundry, cook dinner or sit down with a cup of coffee! Fisher Price has many fantastic toys that give Moms the help we need. You can see some of parents’ favourite Fisher Price toys on the Mom’s Top 10 list. I participated in a survey to gauge my Top 10 Fisher Price toys, and many of them appeared on the MomsTop10.ca list.
