Our family does our fair share of traveling, and we need to ensure the security of our home while we are away. We often have someone staying over, or a family member dropping by throughout the day, but we also have the added security of a security system.
The Arlo System is so easy to use that it was connected in less than half an hour. We just plugged the base station into our wifi router and synced the two cameras to it. My husband installed one camera at our front door and we set that other one to watch the back door. After downloading the app, we were all set to monitor our home from our phones.
With the Arlo app, we can set our cameras up to notify us of any movement, and we can also adjust the sensitivity to suit our needs. If you desire, email alerts can be sent when the camera starts recording as well. I like this because it alerts me if a package is left at the door or if someone is there but I didn’t hear a knock.
Arlo has night vision, so we can still get accurate recordings in the dark. We set our camera to view the driveway and the front door, so we are also protecting our vehicles. The real-time viewing gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home. Just the other day I was unsure if my son had closed the door behind him and I was able to check by viewing the front door on my smartphone.
The cameras are easily moved around and you can add additional cameras if you choose. I like that I can send one to the basement with the kids so I can monitor them while they play, and we can keep an eye on the dog if we leave him alone for a few hours.
