Every September I come up with wonderful lunch ideas to get us through the school year. Like most parents, I don’t really enjoy making school lunches but I start each year out with some optimism. By late winter, I am desperate for some fresh ideas so that the lunches I send to school don’t come back home at the end of the day. By May I have resigned myself to throwing away a full unopened yogurt drink every day, along with a banana that somehow turned black in six hours time. I consider it a win if they have taken at least a couple of bites out of the sandwich/bagel/muffin that I packed, and the same drinking boxes move between the fridge and the lunch bags every day.
Schneiders heard my cries and sent me some samples of their new Simply Lunch meals. They come in two varieties, the Ham and Cheese and the Turkey and Cheese. The Ham & Cheese lunch kit includes smoked ham slices, Colby cheese, wheat crackers and chocolate chip cookies. The Turkey & Cheese lunch kit includes smoked turkey slices, Colby cheese, wheat crackers and chocolate bear cookies. I like that these lunch kits are made with real cheese, rather than processed cheese. There are no nitrates or preservatives added, and that is important to me as a mother. My kids only care about the taste.
His 12 and 13 year old siblings both like them too. A consensus is rare around here, so we celebrate when we actually get one!
One of my lucky readers will win 5 coupons for a free Simply Lunch kit.
