There is an iconic time in a child’s life. It happens at different times for each child and progresses at various rates. It’s the stage that every parent celebrates and dreads at the same time … potty training.
Some parents insist that a child can be trained in a matter of days, while others take a more relaxed approach. Experts will say that potty training is more about training a parent’s behavior than a child’s while others promote the idea of positive reinforcement. Personally, as a mother who has potty trained four different children, I say that everyone is right. Each child has his or her own unique circumstances that will need to be identified in order to be successful at potty training.
The Pull-Ups® Potty Partnership launched earlier this year and it offers a whole new way to potty train. Created in partnership with renowned child psychologist and potty training expert, Dr. Heather Wittenberg, it’s tailored to work with every child’s unique personality, on their schedule and according to how they learn. By completing a free online quiz, parents will receive customized tips and advice based on the Potty Personality their child most resembles: a Squirrel, Bear Cub, Puppy, Owl or Turtle.

This quiz helps parents to recognize how their children learn and help them tackle potty training when they are ready in a way that will make the experience painless for everyone involved. The Potty Partnership Toolkit is also a valuable tool for parents, and I am giving one away!
