All summer long the razor gets so much use that I consider buying shares in Schick, and then the cooler weather blows in. The flannel pajamas come out along with the jeans, socks and boots, and the razor gets a bit of a break. That is until the holiday season is upon us.
The holidays bring parties, with offices and families, and that means dressing up. I’m not one to get into a dress very often, so when the time comes it is important to me that I look my best. I try and pick the right shoes and make up for the occasion, I get my hair and nails done, and of course I get the razor out of hibernation.
When you haven’t shaved regularly, your skin may need a little extra preparation. The best way to keep smooth skin is to continue shaving throughout the year. For tricky spots like your knees, bend slightly to pull the skin tight before shaving. For the bikini area, shave horizontally, from the outside to the inside of the upper thigh and groin area, using smooth even strokes. When cleaning up areas like the underarms, shave from the bottom up allowing the razor to glide over the skin. Finish by applying a moisturizer thirty minutes after shaving to replenish and hydrate skin long into your night of holiday fun.
