A Joy to Share #KinderMom

KINDER Canada has partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network in their ‘A Joy to Share’ campaign.  Beyond their original support through a donation, they are also happy to bringing you access to real-life heroes. Mothers who have been affected by and benefited from the work of the Children’s Miracle Network will be sharing their heartfelt stories and experiences through the KINDER® Canada Facebook page. The ‘A Joy to Share’ campaign is the KINDER way of bringing joy to families – especially those in need by partnering with the Children’s Miracle network.  As families coming together this holiday it’s a chance to reflect and teach your loved ones about what it means to help others. This isn’t just a donation – but a call to action for Canadian moms and children to help us support those less fortunate this joyful season.

Sharing is a big topic of discussion in our house lately. When you have children, it is always something that comes up, especially when you have multiple children, but it has taken a different turn for us lately. Due to some unfortunate circumstances that I can not discuss, we are opening our home to three more children: my niece and two nephews who are 2, 3 and 5. This was a big decision, one that my husband and I discussed at length, and once we felt we knew what we wanted to do, we spoke to our children. Inviting them into our family means that we will all have to share more…our space, our time and for the kids…their toys. It’s hard for children to share their toys, and I was afraid that asking them to share their parents, their bedrooms and their toys might be too much to ask, but they embraced it in a way that only children can. They have shown their willingness by giving away toys and clothes to the Salvation Army…something that has always been very difficult for my daughter especially, but if it means making more room for her cousins, she’s willing to do it. The boys seem only excited to have their cousins come to the house, and didn’t care at all when I started moving all toys out of their room. I love that they are willing to share their space. So this Easter, we skipped the big celebrations (although we all have enjoyed lots of chocolate and Kinder eggs!) while we are preparing to share our lives with three new family members, and it WILL be a Joy to Share.

It’s obvious you have a kind and huge heart, by making room in your home, lives, and heart for your niece and nephews. Same for your husband and kids. They’re may be some ups and downs, but I’m sure you’ll all be one big(ger) happy family!
