I love my Mom’s potato salad, and I have been making it myself for many years. My husband and I don’t agree when it comes to mayonnaise versus Miracle Whip (I’m a Miracle Whip girl), so I start mixing the two when I make potato salad, and now we’re all happy!

It’s so funny how people differ on Miracle Whip vs. Mayo. I prefer MW on sandwiches but use Mayo for dips, etc.

We love potato salad and its Miracle Whip all the way! lol (but I don’t like eggs in it, so I serve them on the side!)
I’ve never tried Miracle Whip in a potato salad – I always use mayo and then add sugar. I guess it doesn’t really make much sense since Miracle Whip already has that sweet tang. I’ll be trying this so thanks for the recipe.
I don’t usually buy mayo any longer. I use plain, organic yoghurt and my daughter loves it…this recipe looks so good and potato salad is my weakness.
I add a bit of dill. Love in potato salad.

I like your simple potatoey salad ☺ I think it is especially kid friendly too! Have you ever tried using 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream? Perhaps this is a more European version since I also enjoy dill pickles in mine!

I gotta agree with your hubby on the miracle whip vs mayo. Yuck I hate miracle whip, love helmans. Recipe and photos look great minus the whip LOL…

this is exactly how I make mine minus the carrot, never thought of putting in, I’m going to next time I make it
I prefer mayo myself. However, I use a mixture of the 2 plus sour cream & Dijon mustard. I also add bacon to my potato salad.
