We have become a juicing family over the last several months. Every morning I start the day with some fresh lemon juice and green tea, and we have enjoyed juicing many fruits and vegetables as a snack or during a cleanse. I have tried a few different juicers, including the Juicepresso.
The Juicepress is a cold-pressed juicer that is unique compared to the other juicers I have used. It’s differences include:
- Patented one-piece extraction system (three-in-one extractor systems, merges the auger, strainer and rotating brush components and dishwasher safe and easy clean up).
- Slow pressing with a 40-RPM motor, gently squeezes the last drop of juice, enzymes and nutrients from fruits and veggies— slowest on the market and more beneficial
- 40% more juice
- 72-hour juice life
- The smallest footprint and lowest maintenance of any in-home slow juicer on the market
- Make more than just juice, you can make soups, pancakes, almond milk, organic baby food, etc.
My biggest complaint about using a juicer is the clean up. The juicepresso has fewer pieces than some other juicers I have tried, so that makes clean up a little easier, but overall I would say it is comparable in terms of effort to clean. However, it produces more juice that is longer lasting so I can use it less often, meaning I don’t have to clean it as often. That is a definite plus.
I decided to make a green juice that I have made before because I know I like it and I know it usually produces about one glass of green juice (recipe below).
Following the instructions with my Juicepresso, I first cut the ingredients into small enough pieces to go into the juicer and not jam it.
I started putting the ingredients into the top of the juicer and I was worried that it wasn’t working properly. It moves slower than I’m used to, and doesn’t make the loud grinding sound I’ve become accustomed to. Eventually I started seeing the juice and pulp come out of the machine and into the pitchers.
When it was all said and done, I had quite a bit of pulp and more juice than I expected to get. The Juicepresso definitely is more effective at pulling all of the juice from the fruit and vegetables.
The Juicepresso expressed about 80% more juice than usual, meaning I had more green juice to drink for my health and well-being! This means my lemons will go further and save me money too, and I can juice 2-3 lemons at a time and have enough juice for three days. That is a real time saver!
