Eko Bear is a Canadian online store of organic and eco-friendly toys based in Ottawa, Ontario. It started with a Mother’s dream to own her own business and her interest in being environmentally friendly. She wanted her children to grow up in an eco-friendly environment so that they would grow up making green choices.
She found it difficult to find eco-friendly toys for her young children, so she developed Eko Bear, an online store with affordable, greener options. Every product is eco-friendly. From biodegradable toys, toys made from recycled materials, toys made with sustainability in mind and just as importantly made with colours that are safe for our little ones as well as our planet.
Eko Bear has everything from infant toys to educational toys. They carry craft supplies, doll houses, play food, gardening items for children, bath toys, plush toys and riding toys. There are things for inside, toys for outside, items that girls love and things for little boys too. It is the most impressive selection of eco-friendly toys that I have ever seen in one place!
I love supporting eco friendly products, especially toys because it’s a great way to show my children how to be environmentally conscience. My children love to make believe, and they seem to enjoy playing with their play kitchen and pretend food, so I was impressed to see some really cool choices of eco-friendly play food. This toy pizza has been a huge hit since it arrived at our house. All three of my younger children have enjoyed taking orders, creating the perfect pizzas and delivering them in the cute pizza box that came with it.

I think the little menus that came with the pizza were great, because the kids are practicing their reading and writing while they take orders, and it makes it a game that they can play together, taking turns as the server, the cook and the customer. I have eaten more than my share of play pizza this week too!
Eko Bear has some fun looking sandwiches in their play food section too, and so many other make believe type toys available. I love that they are eco-friendly and the quality of the plastic is far superior to most play food we have in our house. I would definitely recommend these products to any of my readers.
