Making Disney Memories #DisneySMMoms

8266298490_b87fd24f18_cIn just two days I will be heading off to Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. This is my first time attending Disney Social Media Moms and I am thrilled to be going! Over the last couple of months I have had the privilege and making some new friends who I will get to meet at the conference. I will be in some pretty amazing company at this conference!

One of the highlights of the conference for me is going to the the runDisney event on Friday morning. It’s no secret that I am out of shape and this isn’t going to be easy, but I love the challenge and I feel a great bond with the other women who I will be running with. We are going to dress up, do our best and try not to take ourselves too seriously! It is going to be an amazing adventure.

I have been fortunate to have a few visits to Disney over the last few years, and we have made so many amazing memories. I will always remember Avery’s face when she first saw Cinderella’s Castle, and Kellen’s first time on Star Tours. Griffin’s first ride on Test Track was awesome, and staying in a Cars Room at the Art of Animation Studios was amazing for him. The New Fantasyland Grand Opening was a fairytale vacation and it will always be a one of the highlights of my life. I love that Disney always has more to see and new characters to meet, and the nightly fireworks are unforgettable. I wish I could see them all every night.8265238803_b598914ba6_c

I’m feeling a little mommy guilt about not taking all of the kids this time, but it just wasn’t in the cards. However, I’m really excited that my Mom and niece will be joining me and my daughter. My Mom was at Disney once about 25 years ago, and my sixteen year old niece has never been. It’s exciting to be able to share this with them.

So I’m off to make some new memories with my daughter, mother and niece. I can’t wait to tell you all about it! You can follow along in all of the fun on twitter by watching the hashtag #DisneySMMoms.

Have the most wonderful time, Sheri and Avery! I am so very, very happy that you are going. Maybe when you get back, we can find a day to go see those panda bears.

Ahhhh…Disney!! I haven’t been for over 15 years. I now have grandsons. Soon I will return to make more memories. I don’t know why I have waited so so long.

Most of our family vacations have been Disney related whether at the parks or on the Cruise Ships. We have fabulous memories from each one, they’ve all been truly magical.

I love reading about other people’s trips to Disney as we count down towards our own.
